My Story
In 1920 the 18th Amendment was enacted, banning the production and sale of alcohol in the United States. For 13 years the manufacture and sale of all forms of booze became the new wild west, leading to a backlash against prohibition. Bootlegging and home brewing became widespread. Illicit establishments called Speakeasies or Blind Tigers, sprung up. Blind Tiger indicated that the seller's identity was unknown.
'Blind Tiger' is our interpretation of the style of American pilsner lager produced before 1920. Crisp and hoppy we have used the oldest variety of hop, Cluster, which was 96% of all hops grown at the turn of the 20th Century.
