Helles X Export
Carrying Coals to Newcastle. Taking Owls to Athens. Selling Sand in the Sahara. In 2023 we had a dream: if we were to brew a beer to send it back to Germany, what would it look like? If we were Hawking Helles in the Hallertau how would it taste?

My Story
Carrying Coals to Newcastle.
Taking Owls to Athens.
Selling Sand in the Sahara.
In 2011 our long time friend Markus Lotz came from Niddaer Marktbräu to show us how to make helles the German way. We broke a taboo brewing lager; not any old lager, properly lagered helles as they make in Munich. Lagered for a minimum of 5 weeks.
12 years later, Helles Belles is our best selling beer. But in 2023 we had a dream: if we were to brew a beer to send it back to Germany, what would it look like? If we were Hawking Helles in the Hallertau how would it taste?
