DOUBLE GOLD FOR BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
Bohemian Rhapsody, a craft Pilsner first launched in August 2014, has scored a double Gold at the SIBA Regional Beer Competition on Friday 10th July 2015. The bottled version of the 5% Pilsner won Gold in the Premium Lagers & Pilsners and the keg version won Gold in the same category of the SIBA South of England keg beer competition.
Bohemian Rhapsody is brewed with the finest English lager malt, Caragold and hopped in the copper with the finest noble Saaz or Zatec hops from the Czech Republic. Following fermentation at 15⁰C the beer is lagered at 4⁰C for a minimum of four weeks to build up the natural carbonation for a crisp sparkling lager.
Bohemian Rhapsody is Westerham’s interpretation of the Czech style Pilsner lagers epitomized by Pilsner Urquell, the original pale Pilsner lager from Plzen in the Czech Republic. It is floral on the nose with an aroma of tropical fruits. The taste is smooth and dry with a crisp lingering bitterness.
Bohemian Rhapsody is available in 330ml bottles direct from the brewery webshop and for delivery to trade customers please contact the brewery.
The 30L keg version is currently served in a limited number of pubs including the Carpenters Arms and the Wheatsheaf at Bough Beech. Trade customers can contact the brewery on 01732 864427 and London bars can contact our exclusive wholesale agent The Bottle Shop on 07824 341390 (Ric Brown).
