WORK BEGINS ON THE NEW WESTERHAM BREWERY
Work finally began on 15 March 2016 for the new brewery building at Westerham Valley Farm. There’s not much to see for now but over the next few months the building will start to emerge.
The site has been cleared and the building footprint set out. The next job will be the installation of stone columns with a vibromatic rig.
The building will house the new Westerham Brewery, the Brewery shop and tasting room as well as the wine store and maturation hall for the Squerryes Estate winery. Future plans for Westerham Valley Farm include a farm shop and a park & ride car park for Westerham.
We are keeping the project very much in the family. The steel frame is being supplied by BSW; one of the directors, Dave Black, is a regular at the Carpenters Arms and live in Limpsfield Chart. The main contractor is Mitchell Design and Construct; the marketing director, Julian Mitchell was a regular at our Open Evenings at the brewery and lives in Sundridge. We believe in family.
If all goes to plan we hope to occupy the building in late October and immediately resume the evening tasting events which were so well attended at our current Grange Farm location.
